The first few holes are ordinary. The spectacular part of the course starts from the 6th. Some holes are amazing between huge dunes and the Atlantic Ocean. The fairways look narrow, the greens tiny and the bunkers ruthless. This is a spectacular masterpiece ranked in the top 5 of the best courses in the country. |

The course has a very natural look. It is ranked in the top 10 in Ireland. The first nine holes unwind over very flat countryside, but the back 9 are snaking their way through sand dunes are impressive. There are no blind holes, flat fairways and except the 16th, no dog-legs. Far from the others, it is well worth the visit. |

It is one one of the greatest course that Arnold Palmer designed, ranked in the top 10 in Ireland. The front 9 unwind partly atop a cliff overhanging the Atlantic Ocean, which comes dangerously into play if direction and accuracy are wayward. The back 9 are even more impressive, amidst huge dunes in their natural state. |

As a new course, it looks like it is been on the West Irish coastline for a long time. It is described by most golfers as a masterpiece. The architect is Greg Norman, the famous Australian player. It weaves through exceptional site of gigantic dunes. One of the major challenge is to gauge with approach shots to greens, some of which nestle spectacularly in sandy amphitheatres, while others are much more exposed. The most memorable hole is number 14, a short par 3 facing the Atlantic Ocean. |
